Nathan Evans Fox
Nathan Evans Fox is an Americana songwriter and musician from Glen Alpine, NC. Growing up immersed in country, rock, bluegrass, and hymns, Fox synthesizes his musical roots to produce a sound all his own. He has been writing music, playing fiddle and guitar, and collaborating with other musicians for over ten years. Recently his song-crafting prowess has been recognized by the Songwriter Serenade and Wildflower! songwriting competitions.
Fox’s lyrics confront the difficulties of his cultural and religious heritage with quiet grief, incisive anger, and an unexpected wit. Above all, he is a storyteller whose narrative landscapes are at once familiar and strange. He has written, produced, and performed two full-length albums: Home (2017) and most recently Texas Dust, which was released in April 2018. Fox is based in Atlanta, where he lives with his best friend/wife Elizabeth and their dog Maisie.
Laurie Anne Armour, nicknamed LA by her friends, was raised on the shores of Mobile Bay in the Hollinger’s Island community. She grew up learning piano, fiddle, and woodwinds and realized her love for the guitar as a young teen. She performed in the praise band at her church, in concert and marching band at school, and as a solo artist on occasions.
LA began writing songs, performing at open mic nights, and playing gigs at coffee houses and restaurants around Mobile before she was 20. She does a wide variety of cover songs as she continues to write and perform her own originals.
Musical influences range from The Beatles to Lauren Daigle, Bonnie Raitt to Sara Bareilles, and Otis Redding to Lisa Mills.
Her solo style might be described as Contemporary Folk, with her songs drawn from and influenced by her life experiences. She sings about hope, love, passion, loss, sadness, and the strength and will to overcome, with all of it, shaded by faith.
She regularly performs with the praise band at her church and has been a Nappie Awards finalist in 2016, 2017, and 2018. Her first EP is entitled Ebb and Flow.
Rhythm guitar player, harmonica player, and supporting vocalist for The Red Clay Strays. He began as management and handled booking for The Strays along with writing. Drew was added to RCS when he found he could find a natural harmony with Brandon Coleman. A harmony that pairs well with the rich depth of Lead Singer, Brandon Coleman. Alone, you hear sounds of writing influences such as Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Chris Stapleton and John Prine.
