Abe Partridge has lived a tale that few before him could have claimed. He’s a son of the deep south. On both sides, his family traces its roots back generations to the cotton fields of Alabama. He was born and raised in the port city, Mobile.

Abe’s mother was a piano teacher/church pianist who took him to church every week where he was saturated with the hymns of the old red-back hymnal. His father had an extensive collection of rock n roll records. He had dubbed a cassette of the White Album that Abe would play on a toy cassette player next to his bed as a kid. “I guess my earliest musical memories are Precious Lord and Helter Skelter.” he says. “Then came the year punk broke. I fell hard for rock n roll when I picked up Nevermind, and I really haven’t been the same since.”

There was a pawn shop just down the street from one of the four bible schools Abe attended. He went down on one rainy afternoon and bought a banjo, thinking it was cool. He was playing Cripple Creek in a few weeks, and his love for making music began.

After a failed stint as a pastor, broken emotionally, spiritually, and financially, Abe packed up a rental truck with every possession he had along with his wife and two children, and headed back to the only place he felt welcome. Mobile, Al…home.

Devoid of any opportunity to provide for his family, Abe joined the military – a time in his life he really doesn’t enjoy talking about.

Now he’s here – Abe Partridge, the songwriter. Abe’s got a bunch of stories to tell. At 35 he finally found his calling – and you are listening to it. As he puts it, “I ain’t faking it. I live it.”

Laurie Anne Armour, nicknamed LA by her friends, was raised on the shores of Mobile Bay in the Hollinger’s Island community. She grew up learning piano, fiddle and woodwinds, and realized her love for the guitar as a young teen. She performed in the praise band at her church, in band and as a solo artist at school.

LA began writing songs and performing at open mic nights and doing gigs at coffee houses and restaurants around Mobile before she was 20. She does a wide variety of cover songs as she continues to write and perform her own originals.

Musical influences range from The Beatles to Lauren Daigle, Bonnie Raitt to Sara Bareilles, and Otis Redding to Lisa Mills.

Her solo style might be described as Southern Americana, with her songs drawn from and influenced by her life experiences. She sings about hope, love, passion, loss, sadness, and the strength and will to overcome, with all of it shaded by faith.

She regularly performs with the praise band at her church, and has been a Nappie Awards finalist in 2016 and 2017. Her first EP is entitled Ebb and Flow.
